This class is recommended for students are 11 years and upwards. The style of the class can be both fluid and lyrical with grace and control and or fast and dynamic. with strength and agility. The class has a structured yet diverse technique and includes a whole body warm up, isolation work, floor work promoting core strength, body rolls, stretching, turns, progressions and leaps building to a choreographed routine. Contemporary dance promotes ease of movement using the body’s natural lines and energy, allowing a greater range and fluidity of movement than conventional dance technique.
