Born in Japan, Lisa began her dancing career when she was 2 and a half years old at Studio Dance Sonnet in Yokohama, later moving to the Tachibana Ballet Institute, now known as Asami Maki Ballet Tokyo. Upon moving to Perth, she continued her ballet studies at Dance Central under the instruction of Gabrielle Cronan. Here, she also founded her passion for Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop and has been training and performing in those styles for over 10 years.
During her first year at the University of Western Australia, she had a successful audition into the Dance UWA crew and was also selected by club executives to be on the committee. As part of this crew, she has performed at numerous UWA events and on Telethon 2014. She has been elected by club members to be a part of the committee again in 2015.
Lisa is actively involved dancing herself undertaking workshops with many renowned dancers and choreographers including Marko Panzic, Stephan Tannos and Lauren Seymour.
She is very excited to be teaching again this year bringing her fresh, individual style.
