Welcome To Dance Central
Welcome to Dance Central.
Dance Central will be celebrating it’s twenty fifth year in 2018. We offer the highest quality of classes and permanent professional facilities for Perth children and teenagers in Jazz/Hip-Hop, Hip-Hop, Classical Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Dance and Creative Dance for toddlers. We provide classes that are customised for either Beginners or more experienced students in increments of Level 1,2 & 3.
We believe it’s important to offer appropriate tuition and follow a curriculum that is customised for the student’s level of experience.
Our longevity is testament to our passion and commitment in providing fresh, innovative and informative dance classes.
Our Classical Ballet students participate in a National curriculum with optional exam entry, working towards their qualifications in dance. Many former students have graduated to W.A.A.P.A. and are now working with international renowned dance companies.
Our facilities are fully air-conditioned, the dance studios each have professionally sprung floors and fully mirrored studios. In 2015 with optimum safety and care in mind, we re-installed the newest Tarkett flooring, with the latest and best dance floor surface available, fulfilling the “Safe Dance Practice Code” .
Our teachers are dedicated dance professionals who are passionate about education through dance. Separate end of year concerts for our Junior and Senior students provide valuable performance experience, with quality entertainment and excellent stage craft.
We offer both recreational classes and a performance stream for students aspiring to work at a professional level. We treat our dance families with respect and believe we are privileged to teach and inspire our students.
Principal of Dance Central Gabrielle Cronan, a former West Australian Ballet dancer, is the Chairperson and State Representative for W.A. Australian Institute of Classical Dance. Residing on a National Dance Committee with Marilyn Jones OBE as the Artistic Director, Gabrielle spearheads many State and Community dance events in Western Australia on a voluntary basis.
Gabrielle was a national recipient of the Australian Institute of Classical Dance annual Teacher’s scholarship with the Australian Ballet School in 2003.
Gabrielle is a National Ballet Examiner for the Australian Institute of Classical Dance and is passionate about creating opportunities for young and experienced dancers.
In 2017 our students experienced the benefits of fitness, strength, focus, concentration, creativity and well being. They’ve forged friendships, increased their endurance levels and improved their flexibility both physical and mental, through discipline, hard work and an abundance of joy and fun!
