Julie MOORE

Studio Owner, Creative Director, Dance Educator, Choreographer, and Adjudicator

Julie Moore, the Creative Director of Dance Central, brings over 25 years of professional experience to the West Australian dance community as a teacher, choreographer, and adjudicator. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide array of dance studios, primary schools, and colleges across Western Australia, designing and delivering dynamic learning programs in genres such as jazz, classical ballet, contemporary, tap, and creative dance.

As the driving force behind Dance Central, Julie has guided countless students to success in both formal dance exams and national dance competitions. Many of her former students have progressed to study at prestigious institutions like the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (W.A.A.P.A.) and are now working with internationally renowned dance companies.

Julie’s own dance journey began at a young age, where she excelled in all facets of the art. She completed RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern and Tap examinations, earning numerous awards along the way. Her qualifications include formal certifications and diplomas in Dance Teaching & Management, Progressing Ballet Technique, and Acrobatics Arts. She is also an active member of the Australian Dance Adjudicators.

Before dedicating herself to teaching and studio leadership, Julie competed in Sports Aerobics Championships, earning medals at state, national, and junior world levels. She has performed widely on stage and television, at corporate events, charity galas, and as a member of STEPS Youth Dance Company.

“I strive to make  all dance classes a positive experience for all involved and feel privileged to inspire and encourage the next generation of dancers and dance teachers.”
